This week is #NationalApprenticeshipWeek - a great opportunity to raise awareness of the many benefits apprenticeships can offer.
I am passionate about supporting our students, schools and colleges, and local businesses, and I am delighted to have been able to arrange the first meeting of my Schools and Skills initiative, which will take place later today. This will bring together local schools colleges and employers to improve access to skills information and training, create opportunities and build a stronger network for the benefit of local students.
I also had the pleasure of speaking with the Education Secretary, Gillian Keegan MP, this week and updating her on the Schools and Skills project.
