Fantastic to visit Addlestone school Ongar Place and catch up with their superb and enthusiastic headteacher Mrs Good and meet many other members of staff and pupils, as well as Amber, the school’s wonderful support dog!
I particularly enjoyed hearing from their enthusiastic nursery staff and see all the success they have achieved in the past year having taken over the running of the nursery after the previous occupants were unable to continue, all without losing a single child’s place!
My school visits are so important, with common issues raised including CAMHS/SEND provision and, as every industry faces, recruitment difficulties, and I am raising these issues forward on both a local and national to support our schools and children.
