Ben Spencer MP reviewing site for planned local flood alleviation works

There is just under one week left for constituents in Runnymede and Weybridge to submit your views on how you would like the River Thames Scheme to look. This is an incredible opportunity to improve our local environment while improving flood protection.

This is the initial non-statutory consultation, ahead of next year’s legally required consultation with statutory bodies and local stakeholders. It’s your chance to engage with the scheme and tell the driving forces (the Environment Agency and Surrey County Council) what you would like to see – from access to open green spaces to sustainable travel routes.  Please respond, even if you are just happy with the plans as they are and want the flood alleviation scheme to be up-and-running as soon as possible!

The deadline for feedback to this stage is Tuesday 20 December 2022. You can find more details here: https://www.riverthamesscheme.org.uk/about/news/consultation-into-river-thames-scheme-plans-reaches-final-week?
