Talking Rubbish - discussing issues of litter and environmental protection with students from Sayes Court Primary

Thank you to children from Sayes Court school Council who wrote to me this year about local littering.  I recently met with them and with officers from Runnymede Borough Council’s environmental and waste team to discuss recycling and litter in Runnymede.

The school council had many great ideas on how to improve recycling in the Borough, as well as many questions for myself about the political process and our new King! Thank you to the Runnymede officers who attended - complete with educational examples of problematic litter to demonstrate the issues they face – please remember to dispose of your large pizza boxes at home, they clog up our street bins!
