What is it that makes a great pub?
There are many awards and competitions to find the best pub across the country, but having had the opportunity to visit one or two across the Runnymede and Weybridge constituency over the years, I am always surprised more of our amazing locals don’t top the list.
Whether you’re looking for great beer, fantastic food, best atmosphere, great music, amazing staff, stunning pub garden, or the best place to watch the football, pubs from Egham to Oxshott, and all our towns and villages in between, have it all.
But which one really is the best? Having debated this many times with friends, I’ve decided it’s time to find out and launch the Runnymede and Weybridge pub of the year competition. So, if your local is at the heart of the community, or you know where the best ale in town can be found, please do get in touch to nominate them for our inaugural best pub of the year award.
Nominations can be made here or by emailing me at [email protected] with your name, address and contact details, listing the full name and address of the pub you’d like to nominate and three reasons why they are the best pub in town or village.
For pubs who wish to promote the competition and encourage nominations, you can also download a competition poster (attached below) to display.
Let’s celebrate our local pubs this summer!
