        Support for Students and Universities Announced

        The Government this week announced a package of support measures for universities and students aimed at stabilising admissions, supporting students and financial support for Higher Education providers.

        Constituents Urged to Take Part in Transport Inquiry Into Aviation

        Constituents affected by British Airways redundancies or other issues concerning the aviation sector are being urged to submit questions to the Transport Select Committee, as part of their ongoing inquiry into the implications of the pandemic for transport.

        Job Retention Scheme Cut Off Date Extended to 19 March

        Thousands more workers are now able to benefit from the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme after the eligibility date was extended from 28 February to 19th March. Under the scheme employers can claim a grant for 80% of the wages (up to a cap of £2,500).
