The Government have approved the introduction of a new lane rental scheme for Surrey Highways which will minimise the impact from road works, easing congestion for local communities.
Today I met with representatives from Surrey County Council transport team and Highways England as part of advance planning for road works due on Junction 11 of the M25.
In response to the coronavirus pandemic, in the past 10 weeks South Western Railway have processed the same number of refund requests that would normally be made in a year. Of the 34,000 claims made, more than 75% of requests have been processed, with around 8,000 currently outstanding.

Last week Dr Ben Spencer joined Woking MP Jonathan Lord and local residents to present a petition to No.10 Downing Street calling for the resurfacing of the M25 between junctions 10 and 11.
This week I was pleased to join colleagues in establishing the first All Party Parliamentary Group for the South Western Railway. The aim of the Group is to take a direct and decisive role in improving the train service for constituents.
